Youāve probably Googled āwhy do my partner and I keep fightingā at 11pm.
Maybe youāre engaged and want to build something intentional, not just get through the wedding but create a partnership that actually holds. Maybe youāre preparing to become parents and wondering how this new chapter will impact your connection. Or maybe youāve started to notice that the way you show up in your relationship feels familiar in ways you canāt ignore.
I work with couples navigating lifeās biggest transitions who are ready to stop repeating old patterns and start building something more secure, connected, and meaningful. Together, we focus on deepening emotional intimacy, strengthening communication, and understanding the roots of the patterns that keep showing up.
What working with me is like..
I show up as a real human in the room: warm, honest, and deeply respectful of the experiences you bring. I welcome the messy and imperfect parts of relationships because that is where meaningful change happens. My goal is to create a space where you both feel safe enough to be fully seen, heard, and understood.
We will move at your pace, with your goals in mind, while building a strong foundation of trust and connection. I do not believe in āfixingā you or your relationship, but helping you understand yourselves and each other more deeply so you can choose how you want to move forward with intention.
I also bring my own lived experiences into the room in a thoughtful and grounded way. Having sat on the other side of the couch and navigated my own experiences with couple therapy, parenthood, and life transitions, I understand how vulnerable and meaningful this work can be. That perspective allows me to meet you with empathy, honesty, and realness.
Modalities I use in session
My approach is relational, integrative, and grounded in attachment work. I draw from IFS or parts work, EFT, CBT, and DBT to support both individual and relational healing. I also approach therapy through a systemic lens, always considering how your relationships, identities, culture, and environment shape your experiences and patterns.
I am also Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR) trained and can use EMDR to help clients process and heal from past experiences that continue to impact their present relationships, beliefs, and sense of self.
Populations I love to work with
I primarily work with couples navigating life transitions, including dating, premarital, marriage, pregnancy, parenthood, and separation.
I also work with adults who are exploring faith, unpacking religious trauma, or making sense of complex faith backgrounds and identity.
Specialties:
Pre-marital couples navigating relational difficulties
Couples navigating pregnancy or parenthood
Religious trauma and faith exploration
Life transitions and emerging adulthood
Relationship concerns (such as infidelity, communication issues, or emotional disconnection)
Parent-child relationships
Divorce, separation, and co-parenting
Anxiety, Depression, & Trauma
Outside the therapy room
When Iām not working, I find joy in slow, quiet mornings, searching for the best local matcha, and spending time with my husband and golden retriever pup in Southern California. I love honoring my inner child by going to Disneyland and watching Disney movies, as they bring me comfort and familiarity. I also love to invest in my ongoing growth and learning, professionally and personally, to continue showing up with informed care for my clients and community.
