If you grew up in a home where love came with conditions, where being "good" meant being quiet, perfect, and never too much…

I want you to know that I see you.

I'm Sanam, and I work with immigrant women who are only just beginning to realize that the exhaustion they carry isn't a character flaw. It's the weight of a lifetime of shrinking.

As a Persian woman, I've lived inside the specific kind of pressure that comes from a culture that loves fiercely and expects everything from you in return. The unspoken rules. The guilt that doesn't have a name. The way you learned to read every room before you ever learned to read yourself. I bring that lived understanding into every session, not as a story I've heard, but as one I know.

My Specialties include

I specialize in working with women of color, adult children healing from childhood wounds, couples rebuilding connection, and parents navigating their own trauma while trying to show up differently for their kids. I'm trained in EFT, EFIT, and EMDR , which is a fancy way of saying I work with where it actually lives: in your body, your relationships, and the parts of you that learned to survive by disappearing. You don't have to disappear here.

The way I approach therapy…

From my therapeutic lens, every individual, couple, and family is special with valid experiences, and unique life circumstances. Therefore, a single therapy model will not fit all clients’ specific needs and struggles. I believe every client has the potential to live a more satisfying life and they do not need to face difficult life situations alone. Now that you have taken this significant step, you are closer to a new you and I am here to support you. Throughout your journey in therapy, I aim to empower you to embrace your unique qualities and to have the relationships and experiences that you deserve. In a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental space, we will collaborate to achieve your therapeutic goals and to uncover a deeper sense of purpose and connection in your life. Remember, you have the potential to live a life that you deserve, and I am dedicated to helping you realize that potential every step of the way.
